Presenting from a computer on a projector or screen is a rudimentary and ungracefully designed experience. Fullscreen presentations can take over your computer, brick it in a presentation mode that exposes every action and makes it unusable for much else. Quickly looking for a video to share exposes your desktop and makes for a cumbersome dramaturgy. What would be needed is an environment that supports improvisational performances while giving you more control over what and how you share your contents.

Presentation window is like a VJ suite or video mixer for desktop presentations. It is a window on your desktop that serves as a virtual presentation space, whose content is send in full resolution to the connected projector or screen. You can make presentations and other apps run in fullscreen in that window to share it in a familiar way. You can also just drop images and other media files to quickly present them without exposing your file system. You can write text in the window to easily share a link, reference or anything without having to prepare a slide for it. You could set up various sources like software windows, files, or websites to switch between them in the mixer.

A tape-measure-like rubber band with proportional marks to easily divide lenghts into equal sections. As a side effect, you can also scale distances up and down by basic factors. Great for working with large sheets of paper, wall mounting, floor marks, in construction projects and the like.

Controlling a computer with several custom mice at the same time, each mouse representing a different tool or activity in the interface and shaped according to its task. Like a carpenters bench with various input tools carefully crafted specific to their digital manipulations.

A desktop software assistant that you can train in a smart way to repeat a series of interface actions and cursor movements. Like automation by example. It can repeat trained actions by itself or be made to to work in collaboration with you. Great for repetitive tasks and desktop performances.

In general, desktop automation, even for most simple tasks, lacks far behind the advancements of artificial intelligence in other fields, although it holds most potential for actually improving productivity and expressiveness.

A butcher-meets-stationary concept store where custom book sizes are cut off from endless slabs of perfect-bound (glued) paper books. For custom notebooks, calendars with freely selectable date spans, or the favourite letter section from a lexicon. The freshly cut book slices are wrapped and glued in a cover on the spot. The slabs' edges are printed with meat-like marble patterns, of course.
